About the Artist

Josefin Norlin

Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, Josefin Norlin works across painting, textile art, sculpture and collage. Years spent designing retail concepts continue to inform her interest in building visual worlds, and she reinterprets everyday objects through simplified forms and a distinct use of colour. Traditional still life is a recurring reference, approached in her own naive way. Painting with vinyl colour, gouache and aquarelle, she moves restlessly between mediums, holding always to colour, warmth and the recurring presence of flowers and birds.
